10 Years of Teaching on Our OM Time: The Kaivalya Yoga Method™

A Bold Idea. A Beautiful Journey.
Ten years ago, we asked a question no one else was asking:
What if yoga teacher training didn’t have to happen in a studio to be powerful, personal, and deeply transformational?
In 2015, The Kaivalya Yoga Method™ (TKYM) answered that question by launching the first comprehensive 500-hour yoga teacher training program—entirely online.
We didn’t follow a trend. We started a movement.
What Does Kaivalya Mean?
Kaivalya is a Sanskrit word meaning liberation, spiritual freedom, and ultimate independence.
It’s the state of being completely aligned with your true self—unbound by ego, fear, or outside expectation.
At The Kaivalya Yoga Method™, this concept is our foundation.
We don’t just teach yoga—we guide students to embody yoga, and to teach from a place of authenticity, inner freedom, and soul alignment.
Because real yoga starts within.
The Beginning: Changing the Rules
Before Zoom was mainstream, before online learning was widely accepted, TKYM was quietly building something revolutionary.
We saw what wasn’t working:
- Teachers leaving 200-hour teacher training programs unsure of how to teach
- High tuition, travel, and life logistics keeping people from pursuing their path
- Studios prioritizing performance over purpose
So we created something that didn’t exist.
An advanced, academically grounded, spiritually rich yoga education—online, accessible, and full of heart.
How We’ve Evolved Over the Years
The world has changed—and so have we.
Over the past decade, we’ve continued to refine, deepen, and expand our training. We listened closely to what our students needed—more connection, more flexibility, more support—and responded with:
✨ More individualized mentorship and real-time feedback
✨ Live breakout sessions and community circles
✨ Expanded content on sequencing, business, philosophy, and subtle body
✨ A virtual campus that actually feels like a sacred space
We didn’t just keep up—we kept growing.
Because when you grow, we grow.
What Made It Different (Then and Now)
From day one, TKYM was more than a certification. It was a calling.
We built our program around things that matter:
- A deep curriculum rooted in philosophy, anatomy, mythology, and business
- Real mentorship from real humans who give real feedback
- A flexible path that meets people where they are—in their lives, bodies, and journeys
- A belief that authenticity > perfection
We also knew something important: you don’t have to be in the same room to be in sacred community.
The Ripple Effect
Since that first launch, thousands of students from around the world have joined us—from shift workers to full-time parents, from seasoned yogis to beginners answering their inner call.
- Teach in studios, online, and in their living rooms
- Blend yoga with reiki, astrology, coaching, and storytelling
- Lead retreats, open wellness businesses, and inspire healing in their communities
- Redefine what it means to be a modern mystic and spiritual teacher
And we still get goosebumps every time someone says:
“This training changed my life.”
What We’re Really Celebrating
We’re not just celebrating a milestone.
We’re celebrating:
- The bold ones who joined us when online yoga training seemed “crazy”
- The emails that said, “I finally feel like a real teacher”
- The courage it takes to press record on your first teaching video
- The tears, the laughter, the aha moments in breakout rooms
- The sacred knowing that we were all meant to be here—together
From Our Heart to Yours
If you’ve been part of this journey—whether you took one module or completed all 500 hours—thank you.
If you’re just finding us—welcome.
And if you’re still wondering if it’s “too late” to become the teacher you’re meant to be…
Let this be your sign:
It’s not too late. You’re right on time.
Here’s to What Comes Next
We’ll keep evolving.
You’ll keep inspiring us.
The Kaivalya Yoga Method™ will keep holding space—for education, embodiment, and expansion.
Because yoga doesn’t happen in a building.
It happens in the breath. The body. The moment.
And this moment is a beautiful one to celebrate.
Here’s to the next 10 years—of practice, purpose, and teaching on your OM time.
